Spanish Language Study

SamConnects works with private language institutes in Santiago and Vina del Mar which provides intensive classes to students from around the world. Over time, we have found that these institutes consistently provide our volunteers with first-rate Spanish teaching, and an accommodating social environment. We also arrange Spanish classes elsewhere in Chile when this better fits a volunteer’s interests or schedule.
We recommend that students take language classes when they want to improve their conversational and comprehension abilities, ideally to make the most of a subsequent volunteer placement. The friendly, international atmosphere at the schools also provide an excellent setting for your first weeks in the country, and gives you the chance to visit these great cities. You will quickly make friends and enjoy the social activities and excursions offered by the schools. These intensive classes also give you a jump-start into a meaningful volunteer experience after a month or two of study.

Other Classes

We can also arrange a wide variety of other classes for you, including art, jewelry-making, yoga, martial arts. These can create a part-time schedule for you, leaving time to volunteer or simply explore.
